We offer six services, no more. Every job is touched by every member of our crew — we don't subcontract structural framing.

• Pool Decks — Honed travertine from Arizona Tile and light-toned TimberTech AZEK Vintage composite. We measure surface temperature on your existing deck on the consult. Typical project 4–6 weeks, $28K–$85K.
• Louvered Pergolas — Certified installer of StruXure Pergola X. Tom Beaudry welds every steel post in our Tempe shop. 9–14 days on-site, $32K–$75K.
• Composite Replacement of Failed Wood Decks — Tear-out of cupped redwood and cedar decks; replacement with TimberTech AZEK and Simpson HDG hardware. Always new ledger flashing.
• Desert Landscape Integration — Decks that flow into native xeriscape — desert spoon, red yucca, decomposed granite — with irrigation tie-ins.
• Deck Repairs (CopperHalo builds only) — Free fastener tightening for two years on our installs; we don't touch installations we didn't build.
• Outdoor Cooling Integration — High-pressure misting from Phoenix-based MistAmerica, integrated at the framing stage so nothing is surface-mounted.

Three opinions we hold

• Caliche soil deserves over-spec'd footings. We pour to 36" minimum on freestanding pergolas, even when code allows 24".
• Light-colored composite is non-negotiable on pool decks. Roughly a 30°F surface-temperature difference between a sand-toned and an espresso-toned board at 3 PM in July.
• Louvered roofs beat fixed pergolas in the desert. 296 sunny days a year — you want louvers closed in summer and open in February.

Four jobs we turn down on purpose

• Dark-colored composite decking on west or south-facing pool decks (170°F+ surface burn risk).
• Cosmetic stain or refinish on a wood deck with structural damage (cupped boards, failed ledgers).
• Subcontracted structural framing — every footing, beam, and joist is built by our in-house crew.
• Sight-unseen quotes — Valley soil and exposure conditions vary too much for an honest phone bid.
